TODAY’S   ANNOUNCEMENTS:

TEACHER’S  MEETING TODAY at  3:15.

Key Club’s  St. Jude’s committee will pick up Math-A-Thon today after devotion.

Show Choir members, please pick up your stuff in the FAC.

The DECA Blood Drive is today from 1:00pm -  7:00pm . Our goal is 40 units. The blood mobile will be parked at the FAC.

Science Club will load cans tomorrow after devotion and homeroom.

If any class makes posters to Welcome the 155th National Guard group home, you may display them on Hwy. 98.

The 3rd Nine weeks test schedule for this week:

            Tuesday, March 9th :   7th period

            Wednesday, March 10th:  1st period,   3rd period,   5th period

            Thursday,  March 11th :  7:55 – 8:45  = 2nd period, Homeroom & Break,

                        9:20 – 10:10 = 4th period test,  10:15 – 11:05 = 5th period,

                        11:10 – 12:00 = 6th period test

 

Thursday will be a half day – dismiss at 12:00,  No School Friday.

Students:  Please give your homeroom teacher $3.00 for teacher appreciation.

Cougar Store:   Beef Jerky & Beef Sticks – 2 for $1.00, Orange & Blue Shorts can be purchased for $15.00 each.  Old Varsity Football Jerseys are being sold for $20.00. 

There is a White Binder in the office with sign-up sheets for Tennis, Track, and Golf.

Key Club Officers meeting -  tomorrow at break.

Prom T-shirts are due by tomorrow, Tuesday. Once the shirts are ordered there will be no additional shirts available.  Please remember you must sig-up to attend prom.  The list will be removed from the office on March 26th.  If your name is not on the list at that time you will not be allowed to attend.

The Christian Performing Arts Team is taking orders for Easter Baskets.  The price is $10.00.  The deadline to order is this Wednesday, March 10th.  Turn in orders to the Business Office.

 “Relay for Life”:

K - 6th grades will sell Moons, Stars, and Feet at $1.00 each. 

The class that sells the most will receive a special treat!

“Relay for Life”  Purple Bows for mailboxes are for sell for $5.00 each.  See Mrs. Z for one.

CA will have a team for the “Relay for Life”.  See Mrs. Z to sign-up to be a team         member.  This is for teachers, staff, and students.

Anyone interested in trying out for PRC’s “String of Pearls”, JCJC’s “Touch of Gold” or Co-Lin’s “Colettes”, or USM’s “Dixie Darlings”, see Mrs. Belinda for more info.

Key Club is sponsoring a Lip Sync Contest on Thursday, April 22nd.  You must sign-up in the office.

SPORTS:

Saturday three members of the Cougar Track Team ran unattached at the USM Invitational.  Channing Stringer, Jon Luke Watts, and Robert Ward ran.   Channing shattered the school’s 3200 meter record held by Jamie Thweatt by 14.7 seconds with a time of 10:46.25.  Freshman Jon Luke Watts was 4 hundreds of a second back with a time of 10:46.29.  They placed 5th & 6th in the A flight.  They were competing with schools like Tupelo, Starkville, and Pearl.  Robert placed 5th in his flight with an official time of 11:88.

            Thursday – Home  vs West Marion  - C-Team – 5:00 /  7:00

                                  There vs Simpson  -  C-Team -  4:00  /  6:00
