Financial Policy
(Amended July 18, 2017)
FINANCIAL POLICY:

All money owed to Columbia Academy is due and payable on the 1st of each month.

A 10% late fee on unpaid tuition will be accessed on the 15th of each month.

Any patron whose account becomes 30 days delinquent will be accessed an interest rate of 18% (1.5% per month) on the complete outstanding account balance (including but not limited to tuition and fees). Patrons will be emailed/mailed a letter advising them of their account being 30 days delinquent.

Any patron whose account becomes 45 days delinquent will be emailed/mailed a letter advising them that if their account is not paid in full at 60 days that they will be required to choose one of the following payment options (no exceptions):

Pay the past due balance plus all remaining tuition and fees for the current school year, or
-
Enter a monthly payment plan, limited to bank draft or credit card, for the past due balance plus the remaining tuition and fees for the current school year. Payments will be amortized over the remaining months in the current school year.

When an account becomes 90 days delinquent, patrons will be asked to remove their child (children) from Columbia Academy, will have a judgment filed against them, and will be assessed a judgement fee of $100.

The total amount of tuition and/or fees will not change. As a convenience, Patrons who choose to pay by bank draft may incorporate the total of the capital expenditure/maintenance fee, the technology fee, and the security fee with their respective tuition payment plan (10 or 12 month as posted). Otherwise the fees will be due as posted on Fee Schedule.

The following fees would not be consolidated and would be due in the manner they always have been: Activity Fee, Art Fee, Bus Fee, Membership Fee, and Registration Fee.

ALL STUDENTS OF PATRONS WHO ARE 30 DAYS OR MORE DELINQUENT ON ANY MONEY OWED COLUMBIA ACADEMY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE FINAL EXAMS, RECEIVE FINAL GRADES, OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY SCHOOL SPONSORED SUMMER CAMPS OR SPORTING EVENTS, INCLUDING PRACTICES AND WORKOUTS.
