ELEMENTARY

Columbia Academy focuses on strong academics in its elementary program. Along with core subjects taught, students attend music, art, P.E., and computer. Students regularly visit the library. Accelerated Reading, along with Star Reading testing, is utilized to strengthen reading instruction. Students receive Biblical instruction through daily devotions. A Christian world view guides instruction by teachers in all courses. Speech Therapy services are available to students two days a week and are provided by the Columbia City School District.

Teachers have worked on aligning our curriculum and creating pretests and posttests for each subject area in each grade. This helps us know where our students are academically when they come into a new grade and help us know what we need to focus on during the year.  It is our goal to provide an exceptional learning experience for students.
