Mr. Baxter White, Jr. is in his third year as Assistant Headmaster at Columbia Academy.  He also serves as our Athletic Director.  White is a native of Marion County who has lived in the Edna Community his entire life.  He received his B.S. in mathematics from The University of Mississippi.  He was also awarded a M.Ed. from USM.

White taught mathematics for 32 years, the last 27 at Columbia High School.  He was also the assistant baseball and slow pitch softball coach at CHS.  He is an adjunct instructor of mathematics at PRCC, a school bus driver instructor for the state of Mississippi, and serves on the District Appeals Board for the Selective Service System.

White is married to Nena Marie White, instructor of gifted students at Jefferson Middle School.  Their daughter Melissa is a fourth grade teach at Clinton East Side, and their son is a Senior at Mississippi State where he is majoring in Civil Engineering.
